Jake Davis is currently the Head Goalkeeper Coach for Hartford Athletic in the USL. Jake took the role at Hartford after a successful career as the GK coach for Virginia women’s soccer program, working with the goalkeepers in his role as an assistant coach. Jake is responsible for the development of the goalkeepers within the program, and assists the coaching staff with all trainings and game duties.
Davis previously served as the goalkeeper coach at Assumption College where he assisted in recruiting while training the goalkeepers for the program. He also worked with the Boston Bolts USL 2 team and the Boston Bolts DA team. He worked with the goalkeepers through all levels.
Prior to his time with the Boston Bolts, Davis served as an intern and coach with the New England Revolution Academy in 2018 and with the Springfield Demize Soccer Academy in 2017. With the Springfield club he served as an assistant coach with the U10 and U19 teams and served as goalkeeper coach for the U18 team.
From 2016-18, Davis served as a coach and goalkeeper coordinator for FC Dallas Tri.
Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from King University in 2018 where he competed as part of the soccer program. He also competed with UMass Lowell and Southern Connecticut State where he is currently working on a Master’s of Business Administration.
Davis holds a USSF National D license as well as a United Soccer Coaches GK level 1 license.
